CORE VALUES AND BELIEF STATEMENT

Inspired to Soar core belief is that every human being is made in the image of God and therefore is of immense value. This is evidenced by our work equipping people and organisations to: thrive after cancer, deliver equitable healthcare and build workplace resilience.

This belief underpins the Inspired To Soar core values which are:

POSITIVE
RESILIENT
EQUITABLE
ETHICAL
RESPONSIVE

Inspired To Soar coaching services is for women impacted by cancer.
In addition to the above, Inspired To Soar will conduct coaching services for women impacted by cancer within the set values and principles outlined in the BACP Ethical Framework (2016). The complete document is available on the BACP website: : www.bacp.co.uk

The BACP values are:

  • Respecting human rights and dignity
  • Alleviating symptoms of personal distress and suffering
  • Enhancing people’s wellbeing and capabilities
  • Improving the quality of relationships between people
  • Increasing personal resilience and effectiveness
  • Facilitating a sense of self that is meaningful to the person(s) concerned within their personal and cultural context
  • Appreciating the variety of human experience and culture
  • Protecting the safety of clients
  • Ensuring the integrity of practitioner-client relationships
  • Enhancing the quality of professional knowledge and its application
  • Striving for the fair and adequate provision of services.

These principles are stated thus:

  • Being trustworthy: honouring the trust placed in the practitioner.
  • Autonomy: respect for the client’s right to be self-governing.
  • Beneficence: a commitment to promoting the client’s wellbeing.
  • Non-maleficence: a commitment to avoiding harm to the client.
  • Justice: the fair and impartial treatment of all clients and the provision of adequate services.
  • Self-respect: fostering the practitioner’s self-knowledge, integrity and care for self.

The above values and belief statement is a living document that gives a robust overview of what Inspired To Soar stands for. This means that the document can be subject to revisions without notice. However, said revisions will be in keeping with the spirit and premise of the above-stated provisions.
